The policy of the integrated management system of the business company Letisko Košice – Airport Košice, a.s.
Košice International Airport is the second largest airport in Slovakia. It implements, maintains, and improves an integrated management system (IMS) that includes the quality management system (QMS), environmental management system (EMS), and occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS).
By consistently applying the principles of the integrated management system by all employees, the executive management aims to ensure the continuous improvement of the company’s processes and performance, with a focus on:

The executive management of the company is committed to creating the conditions for the compliance with and development of the principles of this policy:
Customer satisfaction
- Our company is guided by customer requirements. We create all the conditions to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met and exceeded. Through satisfaction surveys, we identify areas where we can improve and thus provide our customers with the best possible services.
Responsibility
- The executive management of the company holds the ultimate responsibility for prosperity and continuous improvement.
- The requirements for workplace safety and environmental protection related to the company’s processes are on par with the requirements for service quality and are an integral part of the business activities of the executive management.
- We emphasize personal responsibility for individuals, regardless of their organizational position.
- We prudently utilize financial resources to improve our services, develop infrastructure, and assess their effectiveness in accordance with the principles of this policy.
Systematic approach
- We have created, maintain, and improve an integrated management system focused on service quality, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and information and cybersecurity.
- We develop and update the company’s management regulations to ensure the required level of occupational health and safety, as well as environmental protection, with clear definitions of the powers and responsibilities of individual employees.
- We continuously monitor the status of aviation regulations, legislative and technical standards, and manage our processes in accordance with these standards.
Suppliers
- We assess our suppliers’ approach to occupational health and safety, as well as environmental protection, and consider this criterion when selecting them.
- We prioritize the use of materials and technologies that minimize the negative impact on the environment.
Communication
- We use internal communication tools to inform employees about risks that threaten their health, the environment, and information and cybersecurity risks.
- We appropriately inform all company employees, business partners, and the public about the contents of this policy.
Surveillance and prevention
- We conduct systematic monitoring of the company’s processes in terms of quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental impacts. Identified deficiencies are documented, and corrective actions are taken to eliminate the identified nonconformities.
- We implement preventive measures to avoid nonconformities, risks, and accidents.
- We take measures to prevent injuries and harm to health.
Employee training
- Through continuous and purposeful training of employees, we raise their awareness in the areas of the integrated management system.
- We verify the knowledge and skills of employees and their ability to respond appropriately to potential risks and emergency situations.
Continuous improvement
- To implement the integrated management system policy, we set specific, time-bound goals and programs, with designated individuals responsible for their implementation.
- We continuously seek opportunities to rationalize energy consumption, raw materials, and materials usage, as well as reduce the amount of technological waste.
- We regularly review and evaluate the results of the policy, goals, and IMS programs, using the evaluation results to update the policy and identify opportunities for further improvement.
The executive management of the company expects that every employee will familiarize themselves with this policy and will create the conditions for our business partners to also become acquainted with and comply with it.

As the operator of the information system, we publish this personal data protection statement in compliance with the requirements for fairness and transparency towards data subjects, in accordance with Article 13 and the relevant recitals of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and on the amendment of certain laws (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Data Protection Act”).
Purposes of processing personal data:
The purposes for which personal data of data subjects (employees, clients) are processed in our information systems are clearly defined, explicitly stated, and justified, with the processing of personal data being in compliance with the principle of lawfulness in accordance with Articles 6 and 9 of the Regulation (specific purposes and legal grounds are listed in the annex of these Personal Data Protection Principles).
Data subjects whose personal data are processed in our information systems for specific purposes may exercise the following rights in writing or electronically:
- Right of access to personal data – the right to obtain confirmation whether your personal data are being processed and to access those data, including the purposes and duration of processing, the categories of personal data, the scope of recipients, the process of any automated processing, and the consequences of such processing. As the data controller, we have the right to take all reasonable measures to verify the identity of the data subject requesting access to the data, especially in relation to online services and identifiers (Article 15, Recitals 63, 64 of the Regulation).
- Right to rectification of inaccurate and incomplete personal data (Article 16, Recital 65 of the Regulation).
- Right to erasure – the right to have personal data erased when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected and processed, when consent is withdrawn, when processing is unlawful, or if the personal data were collected in connection with the offering of information society services (particularly concerning children), and in compliance with the conditions set out in Article 17, Recitals 65, 66 of the Regulation.
- Right to restriction of processing can be exercised if, as a data subject, you dispute the accuracy of the personal data and other details as per Article 18, Recital 67 of the Regulation, by temporarily transferring selected personal data to another processing system, restricting user access to selected personal data, or temporarily halting processing.
- Right to data portability is the right to transfer your personal data provided to our information systems based on consent or the performance of a contract to another data controller in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, if technically possible, under the conditions of Article 20, Recital 68 of the Regulation, in the case of automated processing. This right does not affect Article 17 of the Regulation. The right to data portability does not apply to processing necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in us as the controller.
- Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you, as a data subject, have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is in violation of the Regulation or the Personal Data Protection Act (Article 77 of the Regulation).
As a data subject, you also have the right to object at any time on grounds related to your specific situation to the processing of your personal data, including when processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by us as the controller or a third party (except when processing is carried out by public authorities performing their duties), unless your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms require protection of personal data (especially if the data subject is a child).
Airport Košice – Airport Košice, a.s., Košice Airport, 041 75 Košice, as the data controller, has implemented all appropriate organizational, personnel, and technical measures to ensure the maximum protection of your personal data, aiming to reduce the risk of misuse, leakage, and other similar risks. In accordance with our obligation under Article 34 of the Regulation, we inform you, as data subjects, that in the event of a personal data breach likely to result in high risks to the rights and freedoms of individuals, we will notify you of this breach without undue delay.
NOTICE: In compliance with the principle of data minimization, all personal data you provide are required by law or contract to fulfill the purpose of processing. Failure to provide mandatory data necessary for the conclusion of a contract may result in the non-conclusion of the contractual relationship.
